"Hiked with Gina and Dean today. Stewart is a short hike @ 1.1 miles. Trail had a little snow at the trailhead and then just frozen dry soil to the summit.
A limited view of Loon Lake from the lookout. Headed back to car and then off to hike Kipp just up the road.

"Nice short hike with a good view of Paradox Lake and a bit of Schroon Lake. Did Kipp then with nice views of Loon Lake. Finished with Stewart, also with nice views of Loon Lake. Total of 5.5 miles and little sweat with nice breaks between these short peaks!" — Retiredtop2004 • Jul 28, 2021
"Beautiful weekend and another day on the water kayaking Loon Lake. Took a quick little hike up Stewart Mountain afterward with some pretty views overlooking Loon Lake and toward Gore Mountain. As always I hope you all are healthy, happy, and finding positive through all this uncertainty. " — scottturner • May 3, 2020
"Warm day, with light breeze on summits. Combined this hike - Donaldson, Emmons, Steward. Traveled with 2 friends (Roger and Laurie). Long day. Did manage to get turned around for about 1HR on the stream. Longest part of trip was last 2 hrs walking back on relatively flat trail. Good full day." — suzannerunciman • Jul 26, 2019
"Our first HOT hike of the season. We spent the day exploring Stewart Mtn, Kipp Mtn and the Palmer Pond trails.

Kipp - easy, open trail with nice views and only a mile or so to the summit.

Stewart - another easy, open trail and less than a mile to the summit- the first part goes through some nice pines which smelled amazing in today's hot sun. The summit area has a few nice little ledges to enjoy the view of Look Lake." — deb-and-rob • Apr 16, 2016
