"Parking on a little dirt road, off Hurricane road in keene, park next to the cemetery (1761) and go past the iron gate and on to the conservation land(the sign for the land was face-down on the ground and appeared it had been that way for a long time). A gorgeous walk through fields and hills until a random pink ribbon leads the way up, follow the pink ribbons until they turn to yellow which leads to the summit where you find orange blazes which is a summit loop trail. The markings are random with no real trail but if you follow the ribbons you will summit. This is an official NH park, but no trails are blazed, any markings leading the way are random at best with no up keep on the trails. On this day I followed another trail up a near-by hill, thinking it was Stearns Hill but it wasn't. After some searching I finally found access to the correct hill. It was a long, chilly day. Near silence in the woods, I only noticed a gold finch and a black Squirrel on my journey." — mikezilla • Dec 29, 2011
