Steve and I did a loop of Fir, Spruce, Hemlock and Winnisook Lake mountains from Rt 47. Additionally we traversed over the west peak of Winnisook Lake mtn. The whack from a Fir was interesting, light rain being an added bonus, with some boulder sections mid way that I wasn’t expecting. The last stretch to the top was easy and we found a small cairn marking the flattish summit. We both found our share of shin-bangers hidden in the undergrowth along with the usual suspects like hobblebush that like to challenge you at inappropriate moments.
