It was supposed to snow around 8pm....which in Colorado meant 10am? Love the unpredictability of weather. Drive was easy, which says a lot when you have a low clearance Celica. Drive up to the trailhead was easy and the lot was a decent size. We - and the one worker who we think is putting in vault toilets? - were the only ones up there. Decent amount of snow but no ice and still an easy enjoyable climb. The only wildlife seen was a group of deer and the tracks of something small and still undecided. Beautiful views and a lot of rock formations you can climb around on...also a nifty cave discovered. Definitely somewhere I will revisit in Spring/Summer for easy trail running.
