"We parked in Los Molinos and took the PR HU-43 trail west between fields down to the river. From there the trail wound up through pine wood to the Cuello de San Berturián at 883m. We turned south to follow a stony, later grassy, track south up to a weather station. From there a steeper path led up through the trees to the hermitage and trig point on the summit. We returned by our outward route in increasing heat. With ALT." — marktrengove • Jul 31, 2022
"We parked below the village and took the lane through it, and up through olive groves to the church (closed). The summit was behind - a good viewpoint with a small cairn and information board on the local geology in Spanish and English. Return by outward route. Hot and sunny, some cloud. Negligible wind.

"This is the shortest route to access this peak of more than three thousand meters. Access to this place of Petramula is suitable for any vehicle that is not too low chassis.
To be able to circulate with our vehicle on this track, it is necessary to obtain a ticket in a machine next to the pools of Bielsa and choose the option "PISTA RUEGO". The price is 3 euros." — drgrijando • Aug 1, 2020
"Although from the road this mountain seems devoid of appeal, it must be said that we were pleasantly surprised by the route, both for the diverse landscapes and for the pleasant journey. Highly recommended. If you have to look for a negative point, it would be some effluvium emanating from the farms in the area." — drgrijando • Feb 13, 2020
"From the Fuente de los Clérigos, the closest place that a bus can access, this route begins. Most vehicles can go up the track for a few kilometers to the Sanctuary car park. The route passes through the most common route of ascension to the Moncayo. The first part is protected by an extensive pine forest, until 1840 meters, where we will be exposed to the weather, especially in the highlands where the presence of a strong wind is very frequent. The weather on this mountain is very treacherous and can change in a few hours. Although at the time not wintering the risk is practically non-existent, you have to have a lot of respect in winter, since the formation of ice on its steep slopes is common. For that reason, the use of crampons and pilolet is mandatory in case we can find snow." — drgrijando • Sep 22, 2019
