"A Tripyramid loop day. Sarah, Katie, Molly, and I started up from the Livermore Tr and went up the north slide. This was my second time on the slide. Lots of fun and steep. Beautiful day for it. We made our way up North, then over to Middle Tripyramid. Molly finished her July grid on Middle. We then went over South Tri and down the slide, then out. A great day outside. "I did the 11 mile Livermore-tripyramid loop with my brother, dad, and cousins. With breathtaking views going up and down both slides made the climb was worth it, despite all the bugs and heat. " — Eloise200 • Jun 17, 2020
"Bluebird day and almost too hot to be comfortable. We tackled the Livermore-tripyramid loop. 11 miles with some dramatic sense up exposure on the ascent. The loop makes the viewless summits worth it. " — hiking4000 • Jun 17, 2020
"With the small amount of snow on the trails, it was particuliarly hard to ascend through the north slide and to descend by the south slide, as there was not enough snow or ice to cover the rocks and provide some grip. Still a great hike." — PL5 • Jan 13, 2020
"The second day of our fun weekend in the Whites. It was hot but the slide was dry so we were anxious to give it a go. Took the Livermore trail in and made our way to the base of the slide and enjoyed a fun climb up to North TP. Enjoyed the ridge hike through to South TP and then hiked/slid our way down the south slide. Another great day in the woods!" — deb-and-rob • Jun 22, 2019
"Sunrise hike w/ Stephany Cameron, John Oliver, and Sherlock to the Tripyramids. Sherlock & I went on to traverse the Sleepers and out Downes Brook Trail. I also climbed Scaur Peak." — chris.i.cameron • Jun 16, 2018
"My final summit of the loop. Tree-covered and no views until you descend the south slide which has views south towards the lakes region and down into Waterville Valley. The south slide was tricky to descend, I was surprised how long it was." — gullyhiker • Sep 9, 2017
"Beautiful hiking day! The North Slide nearly did me in, but excellent coaching got me up it. The South Slide was not nearly as long or as difficult - mostly crab walking, with a little butt sliding for me. I'm not as confident on my feet as I should be and would rather be closer to the ground than falling down uncontrolled. Enjoyed this loop, but don't imagine I'll do it again!" — PJSelmer • Jul 3, 2017
"Well, I don't know how to even tell this story...it's a little bit of a dramatic "don't do/ what could go wrong" story.
A friend and I set out to climb Whiteface...it was a beautiful 50 degree day...the sun was shining...it was perfect! About halfway up I said something about if we were real crazy we would have hiked over to the tripyramids...she said, well you should do it and I will drive and get you. I giggled...thought about it and said awesome. I called a hiking friend while I still had service to ask him to track the route and tell me if he saw any water crossings and how long it would be. He said the trail would be 9 miles from Whiteface to the road on the other side of the tripyramids. He said it all looked good....told me I was crazy but that I could do it. So with his vote of confidence I decided I would go on an adventure. Whiteface was LEDGY...but due to some melting we were able to navigate up in just spikes. After a quick lunch we split ways. My friend headed back down whiteface with the plan to grab the car and drive the Kancamagus to pick me up at the Pine Bend Brook Trailhead.
I started to the sleepers and the trail was well blazed for a bit. When I took the tur..." — shay-shay • Mar 9, 2017
"Nice day, warm. Not too crowded. Had fun climbing south slide. Did Middle and North. Talked to another hiker face to face with bear at base of south slide about an hour after we went through. Thankfully unhurt." — Alohabuffy • Jun 26, 2016
