This was a great hike! I had wanted to get up this one ever since I climbed Tuk in 2010. I started at Medicine Lake & took a well maintained trail to the South Mountain Trail. I saw a family of elk in the woods. The hike was very pleasant, through huge old aspens & mossy pines. Eventually, I got to a saddle with open views over gorgeous canyon country. The last several hundred feet were up very steep, open tundra. The views from this peak are spectacular, over all the canyon country & over to Mts. Tuk & Peale. I could see Canyonlands, Arches, the Abajo Mts & the Henry Mts. Also saw my first porcupine the next morning!
