"Half-day excursion w @Eskimoto and @Scott. Nice climb with stairs and stone carved stairs up to the saddle to Baegundae. Used the handrails for the rest of the way to the summit; snagged photo w/ SK flag at the highest point in the greater Seoul area. Went the east-to-west route and added on an additional 350 vert for Yeongbong on the way down. Good workout!

"Classic hike with the fam. Some say Baegundae is the most climbed mtn in the world but have heard that tossed around for several other peaks too (Fuji, Monadnock, ??). Hit a line of hikers headed up the cables and the summit quite crowded. Could well be the most climbed. Did it one way from west side down to the east. Tacked on a short but steep side peak Yeongbong on descent. " — scott • Apr 11, 2025

"Seoul National university route. False summit at the top and its 0.5k to the summit. After the false summit, you will take the trail down and lose elevation and the route will meet with another main route to the summit. At the top it looks like there is another route from the north(stairs see summit photo)" — markorrupt • Aug 3, 2024
