"Woke up early, loaded bikes onto a boat, and took the boat over to Seal Harbor. We rode our bikes through the town of Seal Harbor and to the Jordan Pond House, where our hike began. We dropped off the bikes, and made our way up to Pemetic Mountain. The climb was very steep at the beginning, but flattened out near the top. We had an amazing hikers lunch at the summit, with views of Jordan Pond and the ocean. We hiked on the rugged downhill back down another route. There were roots, loose rock, and even a section where you could choose to go down a ravine through ladders, or go around on a rocky ledge. After a long descent, we made it to the parking lot of the Bubbles. At the intersection of the routes to the South and North Bubbles, part of the group made their way back around Jordan Pond to complete the loop to Jordan Pond House, while me and the others rhiked (run-hiked) up to North Bubble, and then quickly ran back down to the intersection. "Day 1 of the Acadia trip. A loop hike up Pemetic Mtn, the Bubbles, and Penobscot Mtn. We went up the southern ridge of Pemetic. Some beautiful views there. Then steeply went down to the road. Crossed the road and went up North Bubble first. There was a really nice view near the summit there. Down that Bubble, then up South Bubble. Some excellent views there. Went back to the col, then down to Jordan Pond. Then up Penobscot Mtn for the excellent views there. We then hiked down the southern ridge and made our way to Jordan Pond House." — newenglandwarrior • May 15, 2021
"First hike of the spring. Hit both Bubbles and Connors Nubble before looping back. Nice climb up this one, visited Bubble Rock on a side trail. Climb down the north side had a bit of snow and ice, but not too bad. " — mikewilliamsjr • Mar 23, 2021
