"1. Part of Skyline Traverse with Amit
2. 2nd peak in the Boulder Skyline Traverse with Amit. Nice view of the divide. Ate some pbj for our 2nd breakfast at 8:50am.
3. Part of Skyline Traverse with Amit
4. 4th peak in Boulder Skyline Traverse. Hard to discern the true peak, but we tagged multiple high points for confidence.
(5. A fifth unlogged peak was Sanitas Mountaineer Top on the Peakbagger Database)" — benyboy • Jun 6, 2023
"1. First peak of the Tripeak with Charlie, stopped just shy of true peak due to wind and nerves (both of our first scramble).
2. Part of Tripeak hike with Charlie. Got divebombed by some swallows in the high wind.
3. Moved quickly from Bear Peak due to incoming weather, but completed the 3 peaks!" — benyboy • Jun 2, 2023
"Decided to go wild on a day with nothing to do. Initially planned to hit South Boulder, Bear, and Nebel Horn, but a side trail to an unknown summit (I guess the high point of the Dakota Hogbacks) enticed me to one additional summit, while the Nebel Horn summit proved enticingly just out of reach: there was one final class 5 move just below the west side of the summit (like, less than 10 feet) that was a bit too exposed for my taste. In retrospect, I'm pretty sure I approached from the wrong side, and the approach from the East is supposed to remain class 4. Aside from that, it was a really great day." — wazoheat • Nov 7, 2021
"I parked at the Mesa trailhead and realized that I only had a $20 bill and parking was $5 exact change. (You're welcome city of Boulder)
I made decent time until I hit the Shadow Canyon Trail, then my calves were cramping the rest of the way up. It was really hot and I'd already burned through a liter of water before I reached the saddle between Bear & South Boulder. I went to Bear Peak first, then South Boulder where I chilled for awhile and re-hydrated. There was a ton of people up there, many waiting for the snow to melt up high like me." — WaxDr • Jun 8, 2019
"I took the route up through Shadow Canyon. This was one of my first peaks of this size and I got going a bit later than I should have. I was walking the last mile or two back in the dark. Make sure to get an early start! It was a beautiful hike and offered some nice views of Denver and the surrounding area (though the northern areas are obscured by the neighboring Bear Peak). The Shadow Canyon route brings you to a saddleback with trails leading both to South Boulder Peak as well as Bear Peak." — Gray3 • Oct 29, 2017
"Hit this summit after Bear Peak. I planned to add in Green Mountain too, but I ran out of water on this hot day. At my wife's suggestion, I bought a Sawyer Squeeze filter the next week." — aweygandt • Jun 9, 2014
