"Day hike with Leah and Pat. Lost the trail coming down from the peak to the saddle with Old Baldy and did some scrambly routefinding. Great trip but I was not acclimated yet after returning to town 6 days prior and felt like trash on the ride home!" — benyboy • Aug 9, 2023

"7/8/23: ASC-CMC from Fourth of July TH. I went up the night before to try and snag a site at Buchanan CG and once again got lucky by getting the last “dispersed” site available in the back of the campground. The objective, I thought, was to complete the Arapaho Traverse as the first Level 2 scramble during the course. Unfortunately, it took us over 5 and a half hours just to start the scramble. At the first step, one of the participants freaked out and we had to rope her up. At the second one she totally checked out. The rest of us continued around the bend to the first crux (ramp) and then were told we were turning around. No real explanation; just poorly managed. The Traverse and North Arapaho will have to wait.

"No one else wanted to join, so I climbed South Arapaho by myself. Added in Old Baldy as a bonus. Started kind of late; got stopped at Nederland High School around 11am due to parking at 4th of July being full, but was let through by 11:30. Beautiful weather (aside from the views of several wildfire smoke plumes) and barely saw anyone else on the trail after the turn-off to Diamond Lake. Got back to the car just before dark; just over 6 hours total. If I were in better shape the time would have been faster; the final steep approach to South Arapaho took me almost an hour due to rest breaks.
I definitely want to go back for North Arapaho at some point." — wazoheat • Oct 10, 2020

"Beautiful day all the way from 4th of July TH to S. Arapahoe, then Old Baldy and back. Alpine wildflowers are kicking into summer gear but the snowfields are still extraordinary. Arapahoe Glacier, the largest glacier in Colorado, is a sight to behold. Special times on Ol’ Baldy as well!" — LGH-Dan • Jun 24, 2020

"Great hike up south arapaho. Only ran into people on the way down! Here's a photosphere from the summit: https://www.google.com/maps/views/view/106568339597720171503/gphoto/6184099950261611682" — tylerburg • Aug 17, 2015
