"Hiked to the top of Stanley Bush Kop via The Bonnet with the Mpumalanga Mountain Goats as part of the Mpumalanga Summit Challenge. Easy access- parked at the picnic spot just after turning off on the Pilgrims Rest road. Followed the trail to a jeep track, walked along the jeep track until we cane to the power pylons, where we took a sharp right through the grassland (no path) until we reached the old wagon road. Walked along the wagon trail until we reached a tree, the only shade along the road, whereafter we turned left and up through the grass until we reached the summit. It was a short but tough climb to the top, from where we spotted The Peak, Macdonald's Berg, Mount Sheba, Mount Anderson, Kliprots, Spitskop, Bakenkop and the croc gorge in the distance. "Jambila summit reached. Located within the Queens River Adventure Park conservancy. Easy hike or drive along jeep track to near the summit and then a steep but short walk to the top via a clear trail. Views over the Barberton Valley from the top." — viana-van-den-heever • Mar 7, 2023
"Prominent peak in the Onderberg. There are 3 summits, the highest being the middle one. Difficult hike at a steep incline along a Jeep trail. Access is only by arrangement because it is located on a private farm. Contact [email protected] for more information." — viana-van-den-heever • Feb 12, 2023
"Trekked Mount Anderson as part of the Mpumalanga Summit Challenge 2022. Started at Ceylon Forest Station and hiked up to Hartebeesvlakte via Maritzbos hut. It took 1.5 days and almost 45km of which most was at an incline. Not for the faint- hearted. I have done Kili before but found this a lot more challenging." — viana-van-den-heever • Dec 11, 2022
"From Nelspruit, take the R40 South to Barberton for 44 km. Do not turn into Barberton, but continue along theR40 up the mountain towards Bulembu for a further 11 km. The turn off to the dam is on the LHS. Stop the cars at foothill. Climb about 1.36km uphill to the border of Eswatini and South Africa. Trip down for about 1.2km" — williamhugo • Oct 2, 2022
