This is the butte that I grew up with. It was visible from our farm. It is a significant feature in central Burleigh County and often has snow on the top while the lower terrain nearby is bare. I have been on the summit many times since 1967 to go tobogganing, sledding, capturing butterflies, and taking flower pictures.

How do Bob I was wondering if ya my be able to help with a problem. My name is Jon Gross of MaNDan my wife has termel cancer it started in her breast and now is in her bones.We would like to summit all the named buttes in NoDak and have ran into a problem as is most buttes sit on private land and we are having a time finding out who's land so we may ask permission to pass ,as a land owner ourselves we are not fond of easier to ask forgiveness ,so seeing you have summited so many would you have any advice for us.I can be reached at [email protected] .
