Very thick Buckthorn and deadfall on the western and eastern slopes of Snowy. Brought clippers, but it seemed like a futile effort. Had fun smashing deadfall and javelin-throwing dead yucca stalks to clear the path. Also, followed the tracks of a huge bear for nearly 2 miles up to the summit of Black Mountain. He seemed to know the best path through the brush, so following his lead was a huge help.
