Hiked with a coworker. My first intentional sunrise hike. I’ve had the sun rise & set on me (sometimes in the same day) while hiking, but I’ve never actually sat down at a summit to view either one, so I decided to go out for this little peak to see.

It was flurrying slightly at the start, and the wind was pretty brisk. It was a steady short climb to the top - so short in fact that we passed the summit & didn’t realize it until we started heading downhill. We backtracked and sat down & waited for the sun to rise.

Well, I’m sad to report it was very anticlimactic. It was gray, gray, gray. Maybe next time I’ll get a better one!

There was a nice view though of the snow on the high peaks and of the lake below, so not a total loss.

Where did the additional stats boxes go?
Took about 45 minutes to climb this, and 30 minutes to come back down. 1.8mi round trip, 978’ of gain.
