"Forded the Wild River and took the Shelburne Trail to Kenduskeag Trail then on to the summit. Rain on top and again when I almost back to the fording place. Forest colors were magnificent. " — goshen-bagger • Oct 7, 2020
"Solo summit to grab for 52wav. Never saw a single human all day....I ran as much of it as I could...but it was wet and slippery. Bog bridges when available were slippery after the AT split. Beautiful mountain! Great views of Washington over Moriah." — shay-shay • Jul 28, 2017
"Really nice day with temps in the 60s, sunny. Pretty breezy on the summit. Views are spectacular but there was some haze, especially southward. Rattle River trail is interesting, first half flat, second half has some good climb. " — Alohabuffy • Sep 17, 2016
"Beginning of my vacation. Talked Denise into Shelburne Moriah so I could get some red-lining in. Went up Rattle River Tr. After Shelburne Moriah, we bushwacked over to Howe Peak." — newenglandwarrior • Aug 5, 2016
"Part of a Moriah/Shelburne Moriah loop hike out of Wild River Camp Ground. The Kenduskeag Tr had numerous tree top blowdowns that I removed from the trail. At the very end of the Shelburne Tr was the fording of the Wild River, which I came prepared for. I was calf deep in water, rockhopping across the river. " — newenglandwarrior • Jun 11, 2015
