Hike and car shuttling around the Beaver Kill range to red line trails for four friends working on the Catskill All Trails challenge. A dismal day of overcast sky and steady rain on our drive up fortunately improved to just a dark sky. Off came the goretex and the hiking commenced. Since Sand Pond is an easy walk off the trail, and a Catskill 100 highest, everyone was up for bushwhacking to the true summit.
