Nice trail to the base of the mountain followed by very tedious ascent in the gully on some loose rubble and scree. I wish there was more snow. Then real fun begins. Short ascent of Running Rain Peak requires some routefinding. Cornelius Rott's description is very helpful. The crux chimney reminded me Mt. Smuts, but easier, and exposure was not too bad. Definitely, at least Class 4 ("difficult" scramble). David Jones rates the crux as Class 5. The rest is "moderate" .
Ridgewalk to Odlum is pleasant. Little scrambling, but the ridge is deadly exposed in a few places. It's not for folks with the fear of heights. For the descent, we followed Nugara advice - we descended the ridge for "a few minutes" until the obvious scree slope appeared.
