"The youngest and I fancied a day out so after visiting nearby Stokesley the previous weekend we decided to have a day out and tackle this hill which has been on our bucket list for a while.
The weather was kind to us despite with a lovely sunny day, although it was rather breezy at the top! We enjoyed our lunch just below the summit out of the wind.
Was very surprised by the direct route it caught me rather off guard my legs felt it for the next couple of days with all those steps." — charliegill • Aug 12, 2021
"Started from Newton, walked around the North side of the peak and then up the NE ridge, sunny pleasant day. Then retraced steps for a short distance and went up onto Newton Moor and south around the escarpment. Dropped down to Gribdale and up onto Easby Moor and Captain Cooks monument
