Tom, Black and I left the trailhead around 8:30 under overcast skies at 47 degrees. We carried snowshoes and micros expecting to need them because of a report I read 8 days earlier. Much to my surprise trail conditions were dry with neither snow or ice. Mud was minimal. More like summer conditions than spring. Views from the summit were good but nothing like winter conditions. The snows had us spoiled. We hiked the Rooster Comb-Snow loop counter clockwise next heading to Snow Mtn.
