"After a month and a half it has snowed again in the Revolcadores Massif, in March it is not so frequent so I go to Puerto Hondo near Cañada de La Cruz to climb it.
When I was there in January there were quite a few people enjoying the snow at the foot of the mountain, today there was no one because it was Monday. I started the route without snow and as I ascended the thickness increased until it covered the entire ground and covered the path. I followed the footsteps of someone who
It went up perhaps in the morning, there was sun, fog, wind and cold at the summit where a mountain goat was trying to eat something near me.
At the top the fog did not allow me to have wide views, however the crossing on the snow between these forests made me enjoy it a lot today." — franciscobirruezo • Mar 3, 2025
"After eight years I return to the mountains where my experience in Peakery began, these two peaks are the highest in my Region and from them there is a magnificent 360 degree view. However, this time I go alone and I go up from Puerto Hondo near the village of Cañada de La Cruz, it is about 4 miles round trip with a difference in altitude of 1640 feet. The trail begins in a fairly dense forest but further on it has significant slopes and it is necessary to stop for air. It is well indicated by the stone milestones that other mountaineers have been placing. Already at the first peak, which is Pico Obispo, a mother and her son have arrived from Inazares and we have taken the opportunity to eat together and share good conversation. We have also moved to the other summit, Pico Revolcadores where there was another group of hikers. Pretty nice day for this magnificent place." — franciscobirruezo • Mar 25, 2023
