"Tom and I left the trailhead at 7:27 am under blue skies at a cool 45 degrees. 1st half of the hike was on and off various old logging roads. Then the climb up. Trail was dry for the most part and no bugs. Summited at 8:53. Summit was empty but for us for about 30 minutes. Didn't scale the tower as the first set of stairs had been removed. None the less beautiful views were enjoyed. A gorgeous cool morning for hiking. Left the summit at 9:29 and returned to car at 10:29." — garyogden • Aug 14, 2022

"From Sycamore Park in Anaheim Hills, a trail starts on the east side of the park. The pathway goes around the park boundary and lightly climbs along the side of Sycamore Hill. After leaving the park behind, a use trail leaves the main pathway and climbs the rest of the way to the top of Sycamore Hill. R/T from there is 0.8 miles with 160 foot gain. Instead of just coming back, I turned it into a 3 mile loop hike through the hills and neighborhood." — MikeTeeples • Aug 14, 2022
"Ed and I did a loop of the two Hunters and Rusk. We descended Rusk to get back on the Spruceton trail rather than going over the East peak of Rusk as a change of pace. After eating lunch at the cabin on Hunter we climbed the tower to get the views with the clear blue sky. Stopped for a pint at West Kill brewery then onto Brios for dinner." — Nimblefoot • Aug 13, 2022
"Loop hike out of Mount Beacon Park with the wife using trails and wood road. Followed by a stop at Industrial Arts for a pint and pick up a few 4-packs of brew we can’t get elsewhere." — Nimblefoot • Aug 13, 2022

"Gentle hike until the last quarter mile or so, that had some rock scrambles. The views from the first false summit are incredible, amazing views from the second false summit too. The true summit wasn’t as impressive. Lots of pine trees, chipmunks & dragonflies on this hike. One of the ADK9 Challenge peaks, Agapi did well except for a little difficulty in the steepest rock scrambles." — EmilyDoucet729 • Aug 13, 2022
