"My first time in the superstitions and it was gorgeous with great weather. Nice scramble for the summit and snow on the surrounding mountains. Had a staring contest for a couple minutes with a fox. " — MatthewWinterberg • Feb 20, 2019

"It was a cold day, 10F when I started, with about 4 inches of powder on a layer of crunchy ice. The family was skiing at Mohawk Ski Area, so I climbed up the Mohawk ski trail to the Mohawk trail, then proceeded south to the Cunningham Tower and then to the peak and the radio tower. I was the only one out today (not skiing), even the animals were hiding today. Plenty of deer tracks in the woods, though. " — cv • Feb 19, 2019

"From a side street off of Avalon Parkway (Cane Bay Lane), I walked to Avalon Parkway and crossed the street at a hairpin turn. The trail begins there. The pathway goes to the south side of the hill. I picked up a use trail that climbs away from the level trail at the base. The summit gets reached rather quickly with good city views. The Hill is also high enough to peek over the dam and see Lake Perris." — Peak-Conquistador • Feb 18, 2019
"Fifteen of us rendezvoused at the Plate Clove PA to climb KHP for Yong Ae’s finale of her W35 quest. The Long Path was packed down so we could just use microspikes but then we had to switch to snowshoes to break a track over to the snowmobile loop trail. We continued to break a track up the ridge and over to the ramp to access the summit. The ramp itself was a bit tricky with loose snow on top of ice. Once at the summit we celebrated with champagne, ginger tea and all sorts of tasty foods including sushi, kimchi pancakes, dumplings, chicken sliders and Stromboli. Back at the parking lot George treated us to his home made scrumpy before we headed to Brio’s where Yong Ae treated us to pizza and beer. A nice wintry day with snow in the morning then some patches of blue and sun peeking through the overcast sky in the afternoon." — Nimblefoot • Feb 18, 2019
