"After a fall in the thunderstorm yesterday i continued with an injured right elbow and thigh. I decided to take the on paper easier route to the rappenseehutte over Mutzenkopf and Auf den falken. It started as an easy hike trough some bushes with beautiful views , but soon again a thunderstorm rolled in , and yet again I was soaked to the bone in a downpour of rain by the time I reached the summit. I continued further on trough a steep section that was secured with steelwires which was all turned into a muddy river and had to cross waterfalls and find paths that were washed away by the intense rainfall. After this it continued with the last climb up to the Rappenseehutte where i could dry up , eat and sleep." — BelgiumGipfelsturmer • Jul 19, 2023

"We parked in the small free car park below the top gondola cable station and climbed some steps to join the wide path up through the forest. Another series of steps led up to the summit, with trig point, viewfinder and viewing tower (closed for repairs). No views today due to the hill-fog. We returned much the same way, diverting to the restaurant for lunch. With ALT. Cold, with rain and sleet; hill-fog." — marktrengove • Nov 18, 2022

"Took the Schloßbergbahn funicular up to the top station, and then the zig-zag trail up through the beech and sycamore woods to the summit - a mound close to a large cross. No views. Return by outward route. With ALT. Sunshine and cloud. Mild." — marktrengove • Nov 17, 2022

"Parked in the car park near the top of the narrow lane up from Dorf, below the hut, at 47.82926N, 8.02951E. Took the trail down to cross the stream, then steeply up to join a grit track through the forest around the south side of the hill. At a sign took a steep ascent up an eroded path through grass to the summit plateau, marked with a cross. Signed the summit book. Limited views due to passing cloud. Return by outward route. With ALT. Cloudy; some sunny breaks. Cold WNW wind." — marktrengove • Nov 16, 2022

"Parked in the gondola bottom station car park, taking the seilbahn up to the Belchenhaus. Then followed the short trail clockwise around and up to the summit. Then continued down to the Belchenhaus for lunch. Afterwards took the trail down over meadows and through forest to the car park. With ALT.
65 metres of ascent, 330 metres of descent.
Drizzle, Cool, Calm, Partly Cloudy. Broken hill-fog, with occasional light rain. Light south-west wind." — marktrengove • Nov 15, 2022
