"Summited with guide. Slept in refuge, left at 0030h, would have seen the sunrise at the top if it were not a blizzard. I live vicariously through others photos. Still a great fun climb. " — dougbarton • Feb 25, 2026
"The trip started out great!! We were doing the 360 route. On our second day and first night at High Camp #2, I developed HAPE and was air lifted off the mountain at about 18,500'. I spent 2 days in a Mendoza Hospital. I will be going back in the future to attempt the summit again. " — shanefrancis • Jan 18, 2026
"After climbing Nevado San Francisco, I was ready to take on the challenge, unfortunately I was told by the guides that I was too young to summit. This was very mature decision because when you are 15 at very high altitudes it can have effects. But I will be back." — Ashar • Dec 28, 2025
"3am start to the jorney, pretty cold but beautiful sunrise and landscape. Felt good on the traverse and slept twice (one on the crater and one on the summit). Hard but doable as a 15 year old." — Ashar • Dec 26, 2025
