Parked on the side of Highway 189 near the Strawberry Peak Trailhead. The site is roped off to keep vehicles out, but the trails are open. The right trail goes to Red Rock Wall Point and the left goes to Strawberry Peak. I went right first. The dirt road is mostly level and is a peaceful stroll. On my visit, the black oaks surrounding the trail were a golden yellow. In a half mile, a use trail leaves the dirt road on its right and quickly leads to Red Rock Wall Point. This high point overlooks a scenic viewpoint on Highway 38 (the viewpoint on the Highway has a red rock wall on it, which probably explains the name). Other views include Strawberry Peak and the vast city views below. After leaving the summit, I returned to the trailhead to begin climbing Strawberry Peak.
