"Great hikes. Started at our lodging (Villa Motel) and trekked up Pawnee Street to Laguna Point Road and to the trailheads. Nice amount of shade from the trees, especially on Red Mountain. Great vistas on both peaks. Red Mountain was much steeper and trickier near the summit. Kudos to Manitou Springs for their excellent trail network. FYI: Route the summit says we hiked part of the the "Interment" Trail - it should be spelled "Intemann" Trail. Gotta love autocorrect (not). Haven't figured out how to amend that yet. "A beautiful hike up an easy mountain towards the end of the day. The parking area is terrible, especially if you have low clearance, so I had to park down by the school and walk up the road. Few people, beautiful views of the valley, and wonderful weather. Saw a bobcat on the way back." — danielmartin • Oct 15, 2021

"Hiked w/ 27 yo daughter Niki. Had to stop a few times on the way up but was worth it when we got to the top. Nice views and interesting to try and figure out what the old foundations at the top were for." — TakinIt2Type2 • Sep 9, 2012
