Chris's mom was in town for several days & we ate our way across Las Vegas at some of the best restaurants. She left this morning, so I headed out to burn some of it off in the Rainbow Gardens area. This area is very close to my house. I first headed to Red Fox. This is a very short hike from the Lava Butte Road. The road is rough in places, but not horrible. I went directly up the north ridge. One could do the round trip in less than a half hour, but the views are very pretty & well worth it. After this one, I went over to White Eagle.
