"Hoodoo was fairly simple, following the trail to the right of the cabin and bushwhacking through open forest to the talus fields that lead to the summit. Made the mistake of climbing the first gully at the outlet of Libby Lake. It was heinous! " — stukesowle • Sep 2, 2020
"Really pushed it on this one. After the long drive in to the remote Libby Lake trailhead, flew up the trail in 2 hrs to the Lake (including a methane-filled 15 min chasing after a line of cattle up the trail). From the lake, headed up one of the north facing chutes. Several were snow-filled, but I had left crampons/axe behind so traversed over to an almost snow-free chute that led to the saddle to the west of Corax. Loose, loose rock on steep slopes made for slow going. From the saddle, scrambled up the talus pile immediately to the east expecting the summit. Denied! Corax Peak lay 3 more bumps down, a tedious out-and-back traverse through talus and on large boulders. Quite exhausting off-trail up there concentrating on every footstep so intently with no one else around. Only saw one other couple on the trail the entire day! 6 1/2 hrs RT." — scott • Oct 2, 2011
