"Most of the height of this p1500 was done with the aid of the internal combustion engine. I am not complaining, really. Drove to the final wind turbine which stands at around 1450m. From here there are a couple of red splodges on rocks. From here go upwards in a roughly SE direction. There is a faint path but I found that hugging the higher ground of the edge of this big group allowed one to drop the least in height, going over the 3-4 small humps that precede it, and it appeared the route most travelled. Not really taxing but with the sudden appearance of cloud and very limited visibility one still felt one had to keep on one's toes." — vygodski • Jun 16, 2023
"My wife dropped me on the lower section of the steep concrete road up to the Moni Romvou Monastery at 38.77818N, 20.97583E. From there I hiked up past the monastery to its end - ample parking. It continues as a grit road serving the Aioliko Windfarm, zig-zagging up to a wide col. It then heads generally south, winding up to the summit of Ráchi Phláboura 1487m, P72m. I followed the road over this summit and down to a col. It then continues up a little way to wind turbine no.11, where it ends. A faint path goes up a little valley from 38.76255N, 20.98913E to join the summit ridge between the first and second minor tops on the western end of the ridge. I continued east over four minor tops to the summit, marked by a pole in a collapsed cairn and severed trig point nearby. A very fine viewpoint indeed. I returned by my outward route - a long, hot, dusty descent.
Hot and sunny, with a freshening wind during the day." — marktrengove • Sep 8, 2022
