Line at post office was too long so bailed onto a quick exploratory rhike up a direct route to Poulsen Peak. No tracks on trail but easy enough to follow. Started randomly postholing once hit ridge as snow got deeper. Great final light on the summit with unique view of Squaw. Looking north, Silver Peak and the Crest beckoned. Hope to head out there on a ski tour this spring (Sugar to Squaw).
