We hiked for Hiking Heights for Higher Education, an awareness initiative for the Ignite Excellence Foundation. We also celebrated my wife's 45th Birthday at the summit, complete with cake & champagne after a grueling 4 1/2 hr hike from McKinders Camp in cold, windy but very clear conditions. We had to hike thru a forest fire(s) which passed just 15 minutes above us on day two. Kind of scary but a really neat experience.
