"Beautiful day, sans humidity, finally. But no blueberries to pick. I guess the extreme heat and lack of rain really curbed the wild blueberry crop. Absolutely nothing to pick. The bears must be bummed out. Bird of the day: Eastern Towhee." — Alohabuffy • Jul 19, 2024

"Hiked Piper Mountain In Gilford, NH
Parked on Carriage Road In Gilford, NH
Hiked Up the Red Trail a little past the Summit on the Green Trail until I saw a Sign that Confirmed I had Submitted the Sign said Belknap and Piper Summit
There were some Gorgeous Views
Would Consider it an Easy to Moderate Leisurely Hike
My 3rd Mountain I've Hiked in the Belknap Range!!! :) <3" — Rclara9 • Jul 14, 2024
"Great sunny day with a biting north wind. Once atop Belknap, we changed plans, instead of going over to Gunstock and into a bitter wind, we came down White and over to Piper. Lots of hidden ice floes under an inch of fresh powder. Needed spikes on the decent." — Alohabuffy • Dec 13, 2022

"Parked at lower Belknap forest lot off of Carriage rd. Trail on left for Gunstock mt, merge to saddle trail heading towards Belknap mt, white trail to merge on old piper trail, after summit, merge onto piper mt trail(red) loops back to parking lot. A wonderful loop of 3 summits, easy to follow and beautiful views. " — fbones • Oct 19, 2022
"Nice weather for trip top the Belknaps. There were so many blueberries waiting to be picked on Piper. I think I picked (ate) a peck of berries on Piper. Not so much on Whiteface." — Alohabuffy • Jul 28, 2022

"Climbed Whiteface then backtracked to Piper. The weather was much better than recent days. Very mild and clear. You could see all the peaks up to the Whites from the tops of Whiteface, with especially striking views from the side of Piper." — danielmartin • Jul 19, 2021
"Waited for the rain to stop, started out on Piper, very cloudy. But tons of blueberries lining the trail. Had to make several stops to load up. Down to Swett, had lunch on the summit. Back up to Piper and then over to Belknap, the big tower still in the clouds. Working on Redlining the Belknaps. Got back in the car, started raining." — Alohabuffy • Jul 17, 2021

"Hiked Piper Mountain via Belknap Range Trails Parking Area off of Carriage Rd. Note that you can only park on one side of the road. Followed the red trail markers up the mountain. 3.6 mile round trip to the summit and back down. Completed in 1 hr. Made it to the summit and a storm cell in the Whites looked pretty ominous and set some stiff winds so we did not loiter at the summit like usual. Made it back to the car by the time some steady yet light rain began. Maverick brought his friend Max along for the hike. No bugs and very pleasant. " — FL2NH • Aug 25, 2020

"Nice weather 60 degrees to start. Blue skies no humidity. Limited views of Winni. Summited both North and South Piper summits. Some steep sections. Saw a snake. Started at 9:17 finished at 11:10

"Molly and I hiked these three peaks today to rebuild our hiking legs after Covid quarintine. It was a nice day for it. Whiteface first, then Piper, then Belknap. We then ate at Jordan Ice Creamery in Belmont after the hike to begin the Scoops and Loops challenge." — newenglandwarrior • May 31, 2020
