"1.24.25~The Pinnacle of Friday w/Jimmy. 4.2 miles, 660’ gain in 1:16hrs. To the Top in :38min from Terrazza Park in :38min. Made over work quota$$ fast & easy today with the last drop off in LLVegas. ‘Twas a perfect location for a sunset jog/Hike. " — paula.raimondi • Jan 24, 2025

"Made one last go at it this morning for “The Pinnacle” - a 2,000’ spire in the middle of the desert. I hiked out to it in the dark and assessed it in the twilight. Made it about half way up free climbing till I ran out of time and courage and headed back. It's extremely crumbly, hand holds were pulling off left and right. Heard a coyote in the distance as I ran back towards the hotel. Ran into him but he didn’t want to play with me. 😜" — wiweasel • Nov 9, 2023

"3.9.23~The Pinnacle again. 4.4 miles, 650’ gain in 1:24hrs RT. 2.2 miles to the peak from Terrazza Park in :38 min. :12 min on top. To replace the missing reg and broken container. " — paula.raimondi • Mar 9, 2023

"3.7.2023~4.5 miles, 650’ gain, 1:50hrs Fun to revisit this creepy thrilling one. The register disintegrated in the 3 years so I will return with a better one. Nice and warm out. I jogged to and fro. Development encroaches on a nearby ridge. Kind of gross. " — paula.raimondi • Mar 7, 2023

"4.2.2020~6.5 miles, 2,000’ gain *update on my quest for “The Pinnacle”~GOT IT! Free solo, not having to deploy my webbing. (Bonus, Red Fox peak) 3rd time was the charm. I went alone this time. Previously I brought my Husband but he watches me with worry and asks me “why do you do dangerous things?”....being alone I can concentrate on the climb, the route and not stress him out. The helmet gave me a feeling of protection too. It was a thrill ride and sketchy but I took it slow and was careful. What a beautiful Spire. So, so satisfying to be independent in the mountains.
