"Nice day. Very few clouds and in the early 70's. The hike is only 3.5 miles total but the .6 miles of the Ledge Trail are a challenge. Lots of great views from the ledges on the trail. The return walk is pretty boring. After all the ledges, the Pine Link trail brings you through a short rough patch to keep hikers away from the Horton Center. Then there is a long road walk back to the car. Definitely worth it for anyone that is not afraid of steep ledges." — NHMasterMac • May 29, 2022
"After leaving our hike, the foliage was so good, we bought some pizza and beer and hiked up Pine Mt for dinner and a view. Everything was fnatastic. We just needed some more views, a moon rise and a sunset." — Alohabuffy • Sep 26, 2020

There were concrete legs left over from an abandoned fire tower at the summit. Past the summit, there were a few more great view points. One of them (Chapel View) had super nice views of the Carter-Moriah Range. There was a small shelter there and a bench near the edge.
Shortly after that, we came to signs telling us to go either sharply left to head back down the loop to the road, about .6 miles, or go right to head down a different trail to Gorham 2.7 miles. The third option was to go onto private property, which was not really an option. :)
We headed sharply left, through the woods on a nice twisty path that meandered moderately down to the road, then followed the dirt road back out, past the..." — Hufflepuff • Aug 22, 2020
