"Hiked to Snowdon first via the LT/AT from Sherburne Pass & then backtracked to Ram's Head & then finally Pico. Ram's Head looks long abandoned with the ski trails overgrown.
Approximately 10 miles out & back." — billsussdorff • Jun 16, 2020
— fsoucy76 • Sep 18, 2018
"Summitted on way to Killington, ran into a lot of clouds that killed some nice views from West & North. Killington was completely enveloped in a huge black cloud. Forecast was for lots of sun!" — Alohabuffy • Sep 24, 2016
"On Monday I dropped Kim off at Cold River Road to head north on the AT, while I drove around to US-4 to head south on the AT with a plan to meet at the Peak Lodge at the summit of Killington. We ended up getting to the summit within 10 minutes of each other. I met Footlong and Chef Tumbleweed at the Cooper Lodge and they joined us at the Peak Lodge for a couple beers. We then all headed down to my car the way I had come up before heading to the Inn at the Long Trail for Dudefest. " — LGH-Tom • Aug 15, 2016
"Stopped in to do Pico on the way out to NY. $20 for an uphill pass. Ouch!! Hiked up the ski slopes, then due to illness, had to quickly come back down after summiting. In the clouds on the summit so no views. Had some views lower down though. " — newenglandwarrior • Feb 21, 2016
"Great day to hike Pico, warm weather. Took trail through the woods from Long Trail Inn trailhead in Mendon, VT then, after the first opening about an hour into the hike, the trail narrows through fields of wildflowers......butterflies were everywhere! Took the chairlift trail back down. Luckily at the top clear views of Killington Mountain and small rocky overlook past summit provided an amazing spot for a picnic..two choices cold breezes or a sunny rock. Good Times." — penloulake • Aug 23, 2012
"Pico Mountain to Pico Peak, VT. 9 am start, clear weather to the top, a little haze blowing in but, views facing south were great. Unable to see anything from the hidden outlooks past the summits. Lots of butterflies. Trail through woods, strenuous, trails through fields steep. Great workout. " — penloulake • Aug 16, 2012
"Snowing on the way up and at the summit, which was surprising with all the warm weather we had the previous week. Signed the register and the trail book in the shelter on shelburne pass. Left some matches, compass, and firestarters for any AT, LT, thru hikers." — daremick • Apr 25, 2012
