"
I am going this morning to Pico Bermejo, about three miles from the city of Murcia, I am going as early as I can to avoid the heat wave that we already have in southern Spain, even so the temperature when I returned to my vehicle was 34C (about 93F).
That embarrassment and the steep slopes have kicked me well. In some areas the valley-mountain breezes cooled me from time to time. At the top of Diente de la Vieja coming from the 198 m peak I was about to give up Pico Bermejo but I had a pineapple juice and I was able to continue, the fact is that I was hydrating well, but the heat began to hit .
I have been able to see some wild carnations and large butterflies, also a hawk and several swifts.
Many traces of rabbits. Of course, the views of the Valle del Segura from above are really good." — franciscobirruezo • Jul 9, 2023
"When we returned from Pico 232 m we decided to go up to this because there is a little path marked with stones and there are not so many thorns, which have punished our legs. We sweated a lot because the clouds have vanished although the forecast was cloudy. Elvira has taken a picture of me
in which I think I see a hawk, I'm sure he lives in those rocky walls." — franciscobirruezo • Sep 7, 2018
"We liked this mountain, although it is not very high, it has rock climbs, cliffs, trees and a good view. Some milestones indicate the path that begins next to the Cobatillas Cemetery. On the route to the peak we pass through the Diente de La Vieja Peak. From the summit we see many miles around." — franciscobirruezo • Nov 17, 2017
