"This was our 21st anniversary hike up Peeskawso Peak, a peak in Monument Mountain, in the Berkshires. It was a warm August day, not too hot and a little overcast. We hiked the route counterclockwise, as it's a little gentler, and that definitely paid off. The view from the Devil's Pulpit at the top of the surrounding Berkshire mountains and Great Barrington was lovely." — timdawks • Aug 6, 2026
"I hiked this for my Views and Brews. Paid the $6 fee and hiked a loop hike. The peak (which seems to have a couple of names) is a skinny rigdeline with cliffs and boulders on it. There are great directional views looking both west and east. It is a beautiful peak. " — newenglandwarrior • Aug 30, 2024
"We were out in Great Baringtion for the day, and decided to do a quick summit. Almost stepped on a Garter Snake, but I managed to avoid hurting it and still manage to pick it up. It opened it's jaws to threaten us, but all it succeeded in was being adorable." — Knyx • Jul 22, 2012
"I got to hike this with some students from the high school where I am interning in Boston. Some of the students had never been in the woods before this trip. It was a perfect day for hiking, and the view from the top was awesome. There was a cool rock that I had my students stand on that afforded a sensation of being on top of the world. It was a fantastic hike." — GSDTheFlea • Apr 10, 2012
