"Drove out Mormon Well Road (Currently very bumpy, some washboard, but otherwise in good shape. High clearance & good tires recommended.) to Peek-a-boo Canyon with no particular goal in mind. I decided I wanted to hike across the cliffs that make up the SSE side of the canyon. I drove NNE through the canyon to a small parking area in an open canyon coming in from the ESE. I hiked up the canyon a short distance until I could see a nice gradual slope up the west side of the cliffs. I headed up the slope, directly west. Once atop the ridges, I headed south for a way, then continued WSW across the cliffs. It was pretty intuitive to follow the ridgeline. I first went to the highest part of the ridge. This was a wide plateau lightly labeled 6221 on maps. From there I headed to the obvious rocky ridge leading to the peak labeled 6172. This is Peek-a-boo Peak. There was some class 2+ scrambling along the ridge & it was pretty narrow the whole way across, but the entire hike was delightful. I called the narrow ridge, "The Catwalk".
