"I hiked Peaked Mountain yesterday on an overcast and humid day. The two trailheads are located in Maggie's Nature Park in Greenwood. Watch for a green shield shaped sign with white lettering. The trails were in excellent condition and had the freshest painted blazes I have ever seen. Trail maps are no longer available at the trailhead (a sign says the town office sells them) but there is a painted wood map in a kiosk in the parking lot. There are several different trails in the park, and the two at trailheads in the parking lot are the Orange and Yellow trails. The Yellow is the one on the south end of the parking lot, and it's the one you want for the Peaked Mountain Summit. You can take the Red Trail partway up for some nice views of South Pond to the east; it is a loop that comes off of and returns to the Yellow Trail. There were fine views to the east from the summit. The Yellow Trail has a loop in the last 1/4 of the trail before the summit, so you can take a different route on part of the way back down. The parking lot has space, I'd guess, for six cars or so; not a problem at all on the day I was hiking. " — Badgerinmaine • Aug 25, 2016
