Drove back towards Lockhart Gap and headed east to park near Peak 843 m VK3/VE-242. Walked out to the summit and set up, making 18 contacts. Packed up, walked back to the car and drove to Lockhart Gap and around to Peak 926 m VK3/VE-241. Set up on the summit and made 16 contacts. "Another day trip from Wodonga. Travelled out to Eskdale and then towards Dartmouth. Worked my way around the tracks to park to the NW of Connels Peak. Loaded up my pack and worked my up to the summit trip through moderate regrowth. Set up and activated VK3/VE-149, making 9 contacts. Walked back to the car and drove to Dartmouth and then around towards Granite Peak and onto Humpy Creek Track and drove around to the summit of Peak 882 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-162. Set up the gear at the summit and made 15 contacts. Packed and returned to Dartmouth, then headed back towards Wodonga via Lockhart Gap. Decided on a quick additional summit and drove to Peak 926 m VK3/VE241. Set up on the summit and made 7 contacts. "Another New Years Day trip to Mount Cope from Wodonga. Drove to the Mt Cope car park and walked across to the summit. Set up the radio gear and activated the summit for SOTA, making a total of 31 contacts. Walked back to the car and then drove to Lockhart Gap and around to just below Peak 926 m VK3/VE-241. Walked up to the summit and set up the radio gear, making 4 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car and drove back to Lockhart Gap then around to Peak 893 m VK3/VE-159 to again set up, making four contacts." — peterfreeman • Jan 1, 2017
"Drove from Wodonga to Sandy Creek and up to Lockhart Gap, then onto Eskdale Spur Road and then onto McGrath Track. parked at the junction with Williams track and climbed up to the top of Peak 926 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-241. Set up the gear and made 29 contacts before packing up and returning to the car. Drove back to Lockhart Gap and took Powerline Road and on to just beyond a sweeping corner before the track descends the northern side of the spur. Walked out to the summit of Peak 843 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-243. Set up on the summit and made 9 contacts. packed up and returned to the car and retraced my route along Powerline Road to Lockharts Gap Track to head north to reach Peak 893 m VK3/VE-159.
