"This has 4 areas all pretty close together on private property. The first under an Oak tree to the right of the lane. The other three are to the left in the field behind the owner's home. We found the land owners to be friendly and very interested in county high pointing. " — marshallstewart • Nov 10, 2014
"It is not possible to visit the highpoints of Benton County during the growing season, since three of the candidates are located in a crop field. The best way to visit these highpoints is to ask permission at the home located there. My son, Marshall, and I found an extremely friendly lady who was happy to let us park and hike to all 4 county highpoint locations. In my opinion, the highest point is either the west area or the area with the 915 feet spot elevation. It is difficult to tell. I placed my GPS on the ground at each location and collected the following range of elevation readings: South Area - 915-920 feet, West Area - 923-925 feet, Spot Elevation - 925-928 feet and North Area - 930-933 feet. I was surprised that the north area recorded the highest elevation. It sure didn't look the highest, but it is the easiest spot to visit; just a few dozen feet north of the driveway to the farm house. The area is surrounded by many huge wind generators and they were definitely producing a lot of electricity when we were there. It was a very windy day." — Stewy • Nov 10, 2014
