In the city of Santee, the trail is accessible off Boulder Vista. The trail begins at a gate in a city park. I took the right fork at an immediate junction and ascended Peak 846. On the way back down, I went up Peak 706. I returned to the trail junction and continued to Peak 833 and then the sharp descent to Peak 685. The hike was completely on old jeep roads through the hills. The area is rather secluded despite being jammed between the city and a large landfill.
