Started from outside of Green Valley Campground in a small parking area. From there, I walked through the campground. On the far end, the paved road leaves the campground and becomes Forest Road 2N13D. This road goes all the way to Crafts Peak. Before going there, I stopped off at Peak 7500 and Peak 7575. Both peaks are right off the road.

I climbed Peak 7500 first. Once reaching the top, I avoided climbing the class 4 boulders crowning the summit. Next, I went over to Peak 7575. Since there was a sea of thorny bushes between the peaks, I had to drop down to the road and find a route with less obstacles. When I found it, I headed on up. I really liked this peak because it was a great natural viewing platform in all directions.

With two peaks quickly out of the way, I then concentrated on Crafts Peak. I followed the forest road, which is rather scenic. When approaching the summit, strategically placed rock ducks help to guide the way through the bushes and boulders. After enjoying this outing and it’s directness, I had to wonder why the HPS doesn’t have this Green Valley route listed for this peak?
