Climbed this one when I was targeting Peak 7190. I took the not so obvious trail from across the road from the Buckhorn Campground exit. This trail connects with an old dirt road (probably a service road to the old ski resorts). I followed the road west toward Mount Waterman when I failed to look for a use trail going up Peak 7190. Eventually, I went up a gully and did a cross country climb to a high point, which turned out to be Peak 7243. Boulders mark the high point. Below the boulders is some sort of wooden marker lying on its side. From there, I could clearly see the peak that I missed, Peak 7190 toward the east. That became my next destination before returning back to the car.

I passed this one last year (not even realizing there was a peak here) after climbing 7190 and making an impromptu decision to later follow the use trail to the Waterman Trail and hit up Waterman. I know I was close to this one, but not sure if I actually walked over the summit on my way to Waterman. I gotta go back and check it out!
