"This route has become one of my favorites. The last time I did it I added Juniper and Gunsight, which really doesn't extend the trip time by much time, distance or elevation. This trip was up the Gunsight Notch and directly to Walk Up Wall from there. The crack on the north side of Rainbow Wall looks intimidating, but actually it is really not too bad. You feel protected on a lot of the climbs...that have permanent ropes for assistance. Overall, a great route and day! " — Heartattackbruce • May 13, 2025

"Last year I made it only half way due to lots of water in the canyon. I returned on the day when the canyon was almost dry.
Still lots of boulder hopping and climbing. The crux is a scary 50m Class 4 downclimb. It felt like low Class 5 to me." — Taras • Dec 19, 2024

"This was an attempt to do what is known as the Trifecta, or Triple Crown hike to Bridge, Rainbow and Wilson in Red Rock. We had cached water the week before the hike which we thought would help us with less weight the day of the hike and that we have plenty of water to get us through the big day. It turned out to be a hot day for a hike like this. All of us where feeling slightly dehydrated, even after consuming all the water we had cached. We knew that it was going to be a tough hike, but for some reason we underestimated it. Doing the three BIG peaks, which two of the members pulled off, was about 8000 feet of elevation gain and nearly 22 miles. The temperature wasn't conducive for such an undertaking for four of us....me included. We made the decision at the turn to go down to Wilson, from the limestone ridge, to return to our shuttle vehicle we had set up the day before and skip Wilson. It was the right decision for us since we felt dehydrated and we wanted to be finished before dark. Congratulations and applause to the two members (Carlton and Cameron) that completed this awesome undertaking. " — Heartattackbruce • Sep 21, 2024

"Attempted to go up the rainbow w/ ledges route but didn't have a rope on me to get up the waterfall traverse at the bottom of the amphitheatre. Instead I opted to check out the walk up wall which was in good condition. Summited Rainbow Wall at sunset, and rainbow peak shortly after. Copious amounts of water on oak creek descent if you have a water filter!" — MikeERodriguez • Jun 23, 2024

"Always a fun loop that can be modified in many ways...adding or subtracting peaks on the way. It's fun to see the expressions on the faces of the team when they do the Rainbow Direct route for the first time. " — Heartattackbruce • Apr 21, 2024

"This six peak route was stitched together by taking several segments of other routes and linking them up for one great, challenging, fun route. We took minimal, short breaks in order to assure that we could get it done in a reasonable amount of time....being that no one we knew had ever done it, so the time to complete was a guesstimate. Nine hours later we arrived back at the car, completing an epic, loop adventure. If you use the attached track, please be aware that there may be sections of it that you might not want to attempt unless you are used to climbing Class 4/5 without ropes. What a day!" — Heartattackbruce • Oct 22, 2023

"Intense 4th class down climb at very end. Other than that pretty chill . Raw dogged some water from oak creek where I broke off to tag it. Looked clear and was cool and tasty on this hot day. Looks like 52 peak club was on rainbow mtn today but I missed them, must have either started real early or did it from juniper canyon . I got 18 red rock peaks left in r&s
Peakery is also getting ridiculous with their elevation stats, it said I had 6100 ft before I saved it , it always shorts me at least 1000
