"Table Mountain Campground is open in the summer. Since it is summer now, the gate is unlocked and I drove all the way through the campground to get to the starting point. I turned right at site 112 and departed the campground on a forest road. Right before it turns to dirt, I parked in a turnout. I hiked the forest road on a slight downhill to a junction in about a quarter mile from where I started walking. A left turn takes me to Peak 6703. I turned right at this junction on the signed road name of "4N04". The road meanders for a while, rather than going directly to the peak, but the road eventually goes up to the high point. Because of that, sticking to the dirt road should be faster than going cross-country through the thick forest. Once reaching the peak, I left the road and passed through the brush to reach the highest point. I saw nobody out here, even with the campground being full, which made for a peaceful experience in a scenic part of the forest. If not visiting in the summer, then it requires parking outside the locked campground gate. This would add about 2 miles and an additional 500 foot climb to the hike." — MikeTeeples • Jun 28, 2020
