While starting to narrow down the remaining peaks left to do in the Wrightwood area, I knocked off a few more. The first was Peak 6460. Previously, this peak had been known to me as simply being the peak next to Circle Mountain. Well, it still is, but now that I visited I will now remember it for being the place that had the biggest blooming poodle dog bushes I had ever seen. Despite being a hated plant, they were actually quite beautiful today. It also has great views of Wrightwood.

To get there, I began on the route to Circle Mountain for about a quarter mile. A trail leaves the dirt road to the left and descends to the canyon floor where it meets another road. I then followed the road toward Peak 6460, where I picked up the firebreak going up it’s side and followed it to the top.
