"This mountain is halfway between the towns of Fortuna and Garapacha, it is an area where rabbits and partridges abound, in fact I find old hunting posts along the route. The repopulated pine trees provide shelter to some species of birds, and some pine caterpillars have also become active thanks to the mild temperatures these days. Old stone walls appear in some ravines to stop the erosion of the land a little, currently some retirees from other countries have bought old houses in the area and have rehabilitated them to live in them.k" — franciscobirruezo • Jan 27, 2024
"I followed a northern route to reach 535 m and 539 m peaks near Las Casicas (Fortuna). In that route I pass by two others that I already know and El Cabezo del Sastre that I have left for the end.
About four hours on a hard terrain, with strong contrasts and ravines that force you to go up and down frequently.
In the end it was about 8 miles and four hours harder than I expected." — franciscobirruezo • Mar 2, 2019
"Yesterday it rained all day. Today I took the opportunity to make a route near home. At the beginning, the boots have stuck to the mud,
but above, the stony ground has been useful to me. I have seen traces of boar and fox and I think I followed them. Remains of a snake were in the way,
the area also has marine fossils.
After reaching the top the clouds began to close, it is proven that they are chasing me these days. Before reaching my goal I have reached the Peak 554 that is just before." — franciscobirruezo • Oct 31, 2018
"This peak is the main obstacle to reach the Cabezo del Sastre Peak. The loose soil and the stones make the climb difficult, but from the top we get a small plateau that goes North to the Cabezo del Sastre. We try to shorten in the descent and we go to a steep slope while we cross our fingers to avoid falling." — franciscobirruezo • Dec 25, 2017
