I had been up this one before, but had wound up there by accident while wandering around. I had the urge to go back with purpose this time & my route was much simpler, plus I went further out the ridge to a few more peaks. I started at Roger's Spring & followed a trail that leads up into the foothills there. From the end of the trail, I headed up the rolling east ridges. From the summit, I headed out to the peaks labeled 982m & 951m on maps. There was another bump in there too which is not labeled on maps, but it had summit cairn. All of them had unique & beautiful views. Went back the way I came. Keep an eye out for fossils in this range. They are all over. Saw a chuckwalla & a wee baby rattlesnake too. I enjoyed the day very much.
