"I started at 10 AM. Then I went up the Fresno Canyon Trail. It was wide with a fence at first but once past the secret swing it turned overgrown. Then I started seeing great views into Corona and the Inland Empire and eventually passed an old wrecked car. Then I went up a very loose and steep hill. After that I went along the bumps on the ridge and then almost had a rattlesnake jump me. Then after the rattlesnake scare I went up a steeper hill and then summited Fresno Peak (Peak 3010 ft). The views from Fresno Peak (Peak 3010 ft) were great and I could see Orange County for the first time. Then I went up the Main Divide Road to a platform of concrete with an old chair. Then I summited Sierra Peak. The summit had great views of Orange County, the inland Empire and the rest of the Santa Ana Mountains. There was also a benchmark at the summit. Then we went down after a picnic on the top. We didn't run into that rattlesnake again." — lc4441 • May 20, 2023
